PATRIOTS SHUTOUT OAKVILLE 41-0
In Week 3 of Northern Football Conference action, the Hamilton Steel City Patriots (2-O) took to the 403, travelling to Oakville to take on the Longhorns (1-1). With both squads each having an early bye week and winning their first game on the schedule, on paper it looked to be a good match.
Events unfolded differently on the field with the obviously overmatched Longhorns surrendering an interception returned for a touchdown by rookie DB Jamahl Burke, and letting veteran DL Jordan Powell block a punt, leading to another Burke touchdown.
The Patriot defence was stifling all night, continuing their shutout streak and adding two safeties to the score.
WR Gerrit Dendekker caught a 24 yard touchdown pass from Josh Madden as the SCP offense moved the ball with ease on the Oakville defenders.
